ANS. The Udyam process is online and based on self-declaration. You only require: Aadhaar number of the business owner / authorized signatory (must be linked to mobile for OTP verification), PAN card of the enterprise or proprietor, active business bank account details (account number and IFSC code), and business turnover & investment details.

ANS. GSTIN is mandatory only for businesses that are statutorily required to obtain GST registration under the CGST Act. For enterprises not legally required to register under GST (e.g. businesses below the turnover threshold limit), Udyam registration can be completed with PAN and Aadhaar.
